My Approach
Hello, I‘m Martha and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) providing adults with a safe, non-judgemental space for improving emotional and mental well-being and creating satisfying personal relationships. From the moment we meet, you will find that my approach is client-centred and psychodynamic. My intention is to make a space for you where you feel at ease to speak about anything that is on your mind.
As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, my approach is centered on understanding present emotions and behaviours by focusing on unconscious feelings, thoughts, and conflicts. The techniques and approaches I use involve taking an in-depth look at how your past has shaped your personality and behaviours in the present. Our main focus will be to work on how to move forward in the parts of your life where you feel stuck. I will be here to help you explore, uncover, and express your true self. Through deep self-exploration, we will identify your strengths, look at your difficulties in a different light, and develop effective tools that will empower you to confidently create meaningful change in your life.

My Story
My decision to become a psychotherapist was influenced by my own personal therapy journey. Truly, I could not do this type of work — of helping others in a therapy setting — without having had my own transformative therapeutic experiences. Therapy has helped me heal from past trauma, give and receive love, and embrace life and its challenges authentically.
The biggest payoff therapy has given me is accepting that I am good enough — just as I am, just as I was made to be. Being good enough means that I don’t have to keep wondering if I am worthy, valid, accepted, or loved. Through therapy, I discovered, in the most profound and genuine way possible, that I have possessed these qualities all along. Thanks to therapy, being good enough is not just a fleeting thought that enters my mind every now and then — I embody this belief and it has become a part of the fabric of my very being.
Being in therapy means you don’t have to navigate your challenges alone. My commitment is to provide steadfast care, compassion, and empathy. So, let’s find out how we can get you to your good enough place.
